Let’s get cooking

The internet is absolutely stuffed with nutrition advice. Scroll for five minutes and you'll find seventeen conflicting takes on whether oatmeal is a superfood or silent killer. What's actually rare? Clarity. Clinical depth. Content that doesn't make you feel like you need a PhD to figure out breakfast.

That's why The Dish exists: to serve up science that actually makes sense.

What I Do (and What You'll Find Here)

As a dietitian and diabetes educator, I spend my days helping people decode their lab results, wrangle their blood sugar, and figure out what "eat better" actually means in practice. Here, I'm doing the same thing: translating research, busting myths, and serving practical strategies you can use without overhauling your entire life.

What's Cooking

Each edition dishes out evidence-based takes on:

  • Glycemic and metabolic health (yes, carbs can stay)

  • Why your heart and your pancreas are basically best friends

  • Continuous glucose monitor insights that go beyond the graph

  • Nutrition myths that desperately need to retire

  • Real-world tools that improve how you feel, not just what you weigh

The Vibe

Professional but not stuffy. Science-backed but actually readable. Whether you're a clinician, a health-curious human, or someone who just wants to feel better and live longer, my goal is to help you think more clearly about your health and have a little fun doing it.

Information is everywhere. Wisdom, measured and applied with a side of common sense, is what actually moves the needle.

Grab a Fork

Welcome to The Dish. Take what serves you. Leave what doesn't. Measure what matters (but maybe not obsessively).

Subscribe for full access to premium posts, myth-busting deep dives, and tools to help you live better, longer, and without the bologna.
